A Henry Higgins (Howard) is an upper class phonetics professo bets with Colonel Pickering (Scott Sunderland) that he can teach a lower-class girl Eliza Doolittle (Hiller) to speak proper English have proper etiquette and thus be taken for a lady. Numerous methods were applied to Eliza to transform into a classy lady in which the results were sensational since she was accepted as a princess in the Ambassador's Ball. Freddie Eynsford-Hill (David Tree) courts Eliza. Film had a witty screenplay, stunning performances from Hiller and Howard, which compliments. The aura of the movie reminded me All About Eve and Sunset Blvd. Pygmalion is a social satire filled with intellectual humor and a fitting end.

Pygmalion is a film that's hard to beat. It is a predecessor and the non-musical version of the better-known My Fair Lady. You'd think it would take a lot for someone to be able to outdo Audrey Hepburn. In fact, yes, it would. Wendy Hiller is convincing as the down-and-out cockneyed-accented young miss who sells flowers. She undergoes a radical transformation, but with out a million sequences that has the audience in uproarious laughter. This is highly recommended if you're looking to have a good time and to be entertained.
