Dennis Doyle (Simon Pegg) abandons his own wedding. Libby (Thandie Newton), Doyle's ex fiance, goes out with Whit (Hank Azaria). Dennis tries to impress her by joining the Nike River Marathon in London. He has 2 coaches to train him, Gordon (Dylan Moran) and Mr. Ghoshdastidar (Harish Patel. Parts of the film had some really coy moments and effective humor. Simon Pegg can really carry his own and the director shows potential The film gets better from beginning to end. Run Fatboy Run has a lot of heart and is a decent comedy that can inspire in a way.

Although I wouldn't put it quite on the same level as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, I still enjoyed Run Fatboy Run. Simon Pegg is still a draw, even if the story is a bit cliched. A general comedy that will please most, but not overwhelm.

A fairly decent story lurks around in here, but unfortunatly, Pegg and Director Schwimmer have filled it with a stupidity that just isn't effective. Being stupid for stupids sake comes across and obvious and desperate. Pegg can do better than this.

An underdog story void of charm, originality and laughs; Simon Pegg proves he simply can't carry his own movie without help from cohorts Edgar Wright and Nick Frost, nor can he make up the lack from a screenplay cobbled together with stock characters and plastic situations. FInal Grade: D+

Not as good as Simon Pegg's "Shaun of the Dead" but on par if not a bit funnier than "Hot Fuzz." Overall, it was funny, but it had long scenes that were a bit dull. Still, a good comedy with some good physical humor.

Even though this was a typical PG-13 comedy with every bit of the plot telegraphed and an ending you can see coming before the movie even starts, I still managed to get some enjoyment out of it. Simon Pegg has playing the regular guy down and even though his humor is somewhat muffled by the rating there are a still a few laugh out loud scenes. He and Hank Azaria make it bearable to sit through the onslaught of clichés. Anyone expecting this to break new ground will be sorely disappointed. All this is, is a serviceable comedy and a decent way to waste 90 minutes.
