An early entry into Brian De Palma's extensive filmography, this creepy thriller has a memorably wild turn by Margot Kidder as a vivacious young woman who happens to be a twin. Her more disturbed other half commits a murder and now a suspicious neighbor takes up solving what happened. De Palma's direction is quite stylish. It makes good use of the split-screen technique. It also has a morbid sense of humor in the tradition of Alfred Hitchcock.

Showcasing a bevy of time tested techniques of suspense building, "Sisters" marks an early yet effective thriller from Brian De Palma that owes so much the films of Alfred Hitchcock.

This is a tale of two sisters like none I can recall. There's murder and mystery layered in a sinister and psychological manner. To tell anymore of the plot would give away the added shock value behind the twisted revelations. All you need to know is that this is a solid, if not weird, thriller. Watch if you enjoy the work of director Brian De Palma.

An entertaining movie about twin sisters that can't bear to be separated, to a fault.
