Wes Craven directs this minimalist thriller like Hitchcock, and gets pretty close to the real deal.

Works because of Cillian Murphy and his uber-creepy vibe. I agree it starts to go downhill once they leave the plane, but that tension on the flight - it more than makes up for the weaker ending.

Craven made a slew of bad movies after Scream 3, but this was a slight return to form. He milks the suspense out of the situations and the film as a whole is good. Solid, entertaining thriller.

Short, sharp, and suspenseful. The sexual tension between Cillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams is quite tantalizing.

An efficient and well-directed thriller. Wes Craven knows how to heighten the tension with each scene. Cillian Murphy is a standout here, managing to evoke both charm and cruelty. I wasn't crazy about the plot leaving the confines of the plane for the climax, but the film managed to keep up its pace and remain effective.

I am not usually a lover of thrillers, but I really enjoyed Red Eye. The writing was very good as was the acting. All this together made this a really enjoyable movie and worth a watch.

This is how I like my thrillers: short, right to the point, claustrophobic and has a strong lead woman. I take planes all the time and it's easy to imagine sitting next to a creepy stranger. Some people found the film amusing and thought that it was a bad thing. I think it's good that they were amused by it rather than bored. Another hit from Wes Craven.

A decent thriller with some twists along the way. Cillian Murphy is sufficiently creepy and Rachel McAdams does a good job going from scared to fighting mad. Once they get off the plane, it's not as interesting.
