There's not a lot of originality, bit there's plenty of good old western atmosphere and action.

A fast paced, action heavy western. The chases and shootouts entertain with ease and will satisfy most who enjoy these offerings from the genre. What makes this film standout more so, is the somewhat engaging relationship between our main hero and outlaw, both awesomely acted by Bale and Crowe. These men posses different viewpoints, but come to find mutual respect for one another by the conclusion. Something not often seen in westerns. It all culminates in a tense and unpredictable finale.

Featuring stellar turns from Bale, Crowe, and particularly Ben Foster, 3:10 to Yuma is a solid remake of a western classic that will satisfy fans of the genre.

There is very little that is inventive here, just some head-scratching, poorly calculated character development and way too many illogical plot points. The heroism of Bale's character is somewhat edifying, but not enough to make up for all the other shortcomings.

This movie actually surprised me a lot. I didn't have very high hopes but after seeing the movie it was actually pretty darn good. The only things I didn't like were a couple of the explosions. I am not sure but I think its kind of hard to hit a bag of explosives from a moving stagecoach while they are attached to a running horse. Also may be very difficult to hit a falling stick of dynamite from your moving horse. I also didn't know you that shooting a stick of dynamite would make it blow up. Other then that the acting was great and the plot flowed nicely. Overall a great movie.

A great western starring well cast Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. It is a rare thing to see a great western now a days(except Appaloosa).

A fantastic modern Western - full of bleak landscapes and two strong characters that are the perfect antitheses of each other. I like the film's moralistic core that remains unhidden among the well-done action sequences. Ben Foster bears special mention as the chilling unpredictable and violent henchman.

A great addition to any film enthusiast's repertoire of movies, "3:10 to Yuma" is one of those edge-of-your seat types of modern Westerns along the vein of "The Quick and the Dead" where the acting and story is what shapes the plot, instead of just the feeling that it is taking place out on the old Western frontier. Ben Foster was of particular interest to me in this film, as he showcased a part of his skill that is rarely seen. A great find of a flick, and I would even say better than the original.

I am not a big fan of westerns but 3:10 to Yuma is one of the few westerns that I thoroughly enjoyed. Once I got emotionally involved with the characters, I was on the edge of my seat. This movie has it all. Humor, action, drama and it is drenched in suspense. A tell-tale sign of a good film is when you find yourself loving the protagnoist, but also not hating the antagonist. Russell Crowe gives a stellar performance as the charasmatic outlaw and Christian Bale is marvelous as a hardened, almost poverty stricken rancher. I really beleived both of them. The ending of this movie.....will stop your heart. You never see it coming.....
