Story and characters feel real, for the first part of the film, but after our main character becomes a fugitive the movie lost direction and I lost interest. It points out the issue and then side-steps it.

I liked what this movie tried to do, as I think the stop-loss program our military does is a horrible policy. I just wish this film had stuck to that idea more rather than try to dramatize it with a man-on-the-run-who's-a-little-crazy story, along with trying to show the psychological impact war has on soldiers. It's a noble effort, but by trying to make both an important political film and a psychological drama, the film loses its way. I do think Ryan Phillippe is one of today's under-appreciated actors, and he does well here.

I usually love movies like this. This one was just OK. The story was a good one that needs to be told, but some of the acting was a little cheesey. Without giving anything away, this movie totally ended in the wrong way. I would love to see this topic addressed again in a movie, but with a different writer.

The target was right on - 17-25 year olds. The acting was not good but not bad (bad in some scenes) and I liked the mix of home video and live action camera. By the end, we had lost those good components and the meaning of the film is lost.
