Whether you are religious or not, Bill Maher presents a valid, if rather broad, point of view. It's entertaining to be sure, but it only covers a small (and usually towards the extreme) part of religion. Still, it provides some food for thought, even if it's not as enlightening as it wants to be.

Religulous was a good movie, hilarious, but parts of the movie left me feeling a bit offended. Don't get me wrong, I'm not religious by any means, but there was some jokes that Bill Maher presented that left me flabbergasted. Watching this film with my boyfriend, who was 100% atheist, was almost a bad idea. Since I believed in freedom of religion, and he called most religious people stupid, we ended up getting in a huge argument over the film. It was just crazy. That being said, as much as I liked the documentary, there was points where I didn't. Overall, Religulous was one of the better documentaries that I've watched, but there was better ways to go around presenting information like that.

It's hilarious and truthful. It's definitely a must-see for all non-believers.

Made some great points, such as discussing free speech with people with double standards. Preacher to my choir B+

Exactly what you woukd expect from Bill Maher on the subject of religion, just not as good and as in depth as you might want or expect.

There could not have been a better subject for documentation than religion's impact on society and the world. Definitely a topic worth dissecting and made all the more watchable with Bill's humorous approach.

I probably shouldn't go to any movie when I stay up until 3:30 the night before! How could I not doze here and there? So I'm not sure I can give "Religulous" a fair rating. However, based upon what I saw of it, it wasn't necessarily a great film, rather a film driven by a great concept. In his skepticism about organized religion, Bill Maher somehow comes off as a genuinely curious investigator, not a bombastic attacker like Michael Moore. He's not even the comedian here; the people he interviews are funny enough on their own. And hysterically so. You can't write that stuff! I'm tempted to compare this to "Jesus Camp", but where that was terrifying, "Religulous" is merely amusing.

Bill Maher comes across as a god in this movie. He is a really really smart guy and comes across not as a pompous no-it-all, but instead as the voice of reason and encourages people to question things that simply don't make sense. The main problem here is that this is a two part movie of hilarious comedy and a serious reflection of the damaging impacts of religion on society. The movie cant figure out how to get those to blend. They follow up a Brokeback Mountain joke with a video of suicide bombers, and my mind couldn't jump back and forth and take each part the way it was intended. This feels like two great different movies that have been mashed together and damage each others effectiveness. Talking to Jesus was hilarious though.
