The plot was interesting, but at the same time stupid. He finds out certain details in ways I found unrealistic. Also, the ending didn't seem to work in my logical mind. All of that aside, the movie is unnecessarily dark and disgusting.

This movie was not that bad, but at the same time not that great. I think that Nicolas Cage was funny in this movie - and for all the wrong reasons. Joaquin Phoenix was hot. Yeah, what else is there to say? eh. WHAT MOVIES TEACH YOU: Don't get involved with the porn industry. But I already knew that?

Great movie, but extremely distrubing. I usually have to watch the Muppet Movie or Goonies to get my mind back on track!

I like dark films, but 8MM is too dark even for me. Of course when dealing with snuff films and the dark underbelly of filmaking, I wasn't expecting lollipops and rainbows. Dark, depressing and disturbing - and way serious about it.
