Sure, this is no Suspiria (and I kind of skipped the second installment) but Mother of Tears still retains some of that Argento magic. There's a lot of blood shed, a fast and loose story and adequate acting. It's fun, not ground-breaking.

Dario Argento closes his trilogy with this silly, but absorbing thriller with plenty of gore and style; unfortunately, the heroine isn't exactly easy to like and the villains are pretty pathetic...indeed the mother of tears' meanest asset is a pair of spectacular breasts. One incredible sequence involves a chase to a train by an eerie Asian woman. It's fun stuff for those who know what to expect. Final Grade: C+
