Story is Limited; Writing Needs Work

For a movie that was shot in five days, it's not that bad. Nonetheless, I think this is a typical gay film that has way too many sex scenes and not enough story. It flourishes whenever two people talk and make a certain connection (Jared and the grandmother; Jared and the friend he meets at the hostel). Although the physical touching gets titillating at times, those become a distraction and they slow the story down. The acting is pretty bad but I didn't mind that much because I know the limitations it had due to its budget. I also had problems following the story because it didn't make that much sense. I'm talking about the main character's actions: in one scene he seems so deep, the next scene he's so shallow that it's hard to root for him to find happiness. Major contradictions like …
