Not worthy of a nomination, though still not bad. The acting was Amazing and I think they showed how smart Nixon really was. It drug at times and I don't think I will see it again but interesting flick. Did not make me a Howard fan.

A great, sometimes fictionalized movie about a part of American history that at the time, I knew nothing about. The two parts that I felt, though made the movie better they stretched the truth a bit were the late night phone call from Nixon to Frost (it never happened) and the all-out admission of guilt, again Tricky Dick weasled his way around ever having to admit his guilt. It makes for great dramatic affect and it even makes Nixon into a sympathetic character.

One of the worst movies I've seen in my life. Frank Langella looks nothing like Nixon and what the heck is Kevin Bacon doing in this movie? His character as well as Rebecca Hall's serve as a distraction from anything meaningful to do with the movie. I look forward to avoiding all Ron Howard's films in the future. Not only that, but writer Peter Morgan's The Queen wasn't so riveting either. There are plenty other great films about Nixon and/or the Watergate scandal. Ron Howard/Peter Morgan should have left this story alone.

A pretty good film, drawn from the stage play of the same name with the same leads. Ron Howard directs a great cast that centers around the David Frost/Richard Nixon interviews. Watching two people engage in a verbal jousting match turns out to be an interesting study - you actually feel some sympathy for Richard Nixon. Of course, that's all due to Langella's performance, which is easily one of the top performances of the year and deserves all the credit. Some liberties have been taken for dramatic effect, but that has been acknowledged and doesn't get in the way of telling a great story. One of the year's best.

A very good film that does have historical inaccuracy but since it really is not saying anything I allow it because it is interesting and entertaining to watch. The acting is all good and although the portrayal of Nixon is not really accurate it is entertaining to watch. The story is just interesting to see develop, and watch the well shot and well established time period.
