Man on Wire is both brilliant and interesting with Philipe Petit's crazy journey of making he's dream of walling across the line between the World Trade Center come true.

Fascinating documentary about Philippe Petit 's relentless pursuit of his dream to perform on a high wire especially rigged for him between the two towers of the World Trade Center.

Film is well made. But the main subject here is Phillipe. He surely did very exciting thing, but i felt he was crazy. Anyway watch the film, anyone will like it.

Reality is always stranger than fiction and Hollywood couldn't come up with characters or a story this outrageous and spellbinding. It's an imperfectly-planned act of rebellion that somehow gets pulled off by this motley group, led by gregarious Frenchman Philippe Petit, that becomes legend. A great watch.

Though at times talky, this documentary manages to capture the ethereal quality of what is arguably one of the most daring and beautiful acts of performance art. The thoroughness with which the stunt is described is fascinating, though I wish there were more footage of the actual event.

THIS was the best documentary of the year? Booooorring. The children's book was waaaaay better. Unless you like random nude scenes.

This is wonderful documentary that cleverly builds suspense for the final payoff of the spectacular feat. Given what happened to the twin towers on 9/11, it was interesting to watch the opening sequence unfold. As the team "attacks" the World Trade Center, they could just as easily have been terrorists. The film earned a SmokeScreeners rating of 2 Butts for some fleeting images of smoking contained in the archival footage of the team.

The story was really good and really suspenseful and a lot of the camera work was fairly interesting and it's probably about as good as you could have done with this but at the end of the day it was about a tight rope walker and there's only so much you can do with that type of story. It was made very artistic and I'm glad I saw it but it's not the most memorable thing ever.
