You can expect the movie to rebuke the white supremacist views of its characters, but what you won't anticipate is its bluntly raw story and heavy conclusion.

Edward Nortons best performance and most controversial film. There are tons of message in this movie that speak to people not only when it was made, but still speaks today.

Super fantastic film. Edward Norton has never been better at playing a redeemed neo - Nazi trying to keep his brother from following the same path that he did. Handles the the provocativeness of it's subject with the right dramatic sense and delivers some unforgettable moments. One of Norton's best performances.

Edward Norton owns this film and should have won Best Actor for it. It's both a horrifying and redemptive picture of racism and forgiveness.

A gritty, violent, though poignant exploration of human nature and racism, "American History X" is one of those films that sticks with you for a long time. A great amount of time and effort went in to explore the nature of these characters and the depths to which even the most strengthened belief, albeit a morally wrong one, can lead to redemptive thoughts and bring to pass even the greatest amount of forgiveness in yourself, and sometimes, even the worst realizations. A must-see for movie fans.

My favorite performance by Ed Norton to date. Powerful story. That curb scene will forever be permanently etched in my mind.
