The beautifully shot landscapes of this film serve as backdrop to genuine moral contemplation. Director Ki-duk Kim knows how to present characters and scenarios with just enough emotional depth that we are drawn in and then left to think over their moral dilemmas. Absolutely memorable.

Kim Ki Duk is without doubt, one the masters of this century. This movie is about life. How it starts, how it developes and how ends. The landscapes are incredible and the acting fantastic. Short enough, and at the same time, with a lot of moral lessons and symbols. A top notch flick.
