"Bruno" lays into homophobia the same way "Borat" laid into perceptions to the Middle East, but admittedly not with the same sensational outcome.

It's going to be weird saying this but I enjoyed this movie, And a lot of people are going to take this the wrong way like there think am gay or don't know what a good movie is, just because I was being honest that I though this movie was so wrong but it's hard not to laugh at it.

Bruno is just an unlikable character. The flick tries too hard to bring out the laughs. Not even close to Borat, unfortunately this one misses its mark. A few laughable scenes, still everything was quite pointless.

Although it's interesting how Sasha Baron Cohen manages to con people into revealing their latent homophobia, the movie really amounts to one two-hour-long gay joke and, after a few minutes, that gets pretty old, fast. It's missing the variety and freshness of Borat, since we're now familiar with most of Cohen's bag of tricks.

There were a few funny moments in this film, but overall, many scenes were either too ridiculous to find funny, too staged, or way too forced. Cohen throws everything in to his character of Bruno and tries desperately to create uncomfortable moments for his unknowing victims, but in the end, a majority of it just isn't natural enough to find funny. It's relatively short so it doesn't drag on forever, but watch Borat again rather than sitting through this.

This movie was hilarious. Sacha Baron Cohen is an absolute clown. Bruno is inappropriate in so many ways, but you cannot take your eyes off of it. This is comedy.

Okay, though this movie wasn't nearly as good as "Borat," it still offered social commentary in the best of ways. Take something highly controversial, add a dash of sugar, drama, penis, and Sacha Baron Cohen and what you have is a casserole fit only for the open-minded. I can't tell you how many people left when the theatre when I went to see this. But what I can tell you is how many stayed: 5. And all of them were in the group I drove with. The movie's audiences prove the movie's point, and I find that ironic. Irony....not just a river in Europe.

Brüno is undeniably hilarious, vulgar and filled with smart satire. Although Sacha Baron Cohen is loosing his magic a little bit...
