An impressive and original take on the children's book, "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" is rebelliously funny and full of inspired animation.

The story is about a town experiences food-based weather that works well at first, until things get a little out of control. This movie has amazing animation and a good story that I did not see coming.

The premise at first seems ridiculous, but as you follow the story it all makes sense. The color, mood and graphics were sensational. So many likable characters like the scientist with dreams Flint Lockwood, the tough but sensitive cop Earl and Sam Sparks. The script is clever and the idea and images of over sized food just makes you hungry. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a joy to watch especially for food aficionado's.

Has barely anything in common with the classic children's book, but this updated version of the story still holds plenty of laughs and in-jokes that adults can appreciate, as well as savvy kids. The animation is vibrant and stylistic and the voice acting is pretty inspired at times.

A really fun movie - plenty of laughs for kids and adults. Proves Pixar doesn't have the corner on animation. I'm not sure it has the depth, but it certainly has the fun factor.

Really wish I had seen this in 3D, but am still really glad that I watched it. It's still an excellent movie without the 3D. In a time where Pixar and Dreamworks dominate animated film, it's good to see some are still upholding traditional methods. The Pixar movies aren't bad, but I'm getting tired of them. I'd just rather watch something that is the real definition of a "cartoon". All that aside, I really enjoyed this movie. It's been awhile since I enjoyed a new animated film this much. Highly recommended.

If you like some adult comedy and a good 3D movie, this is a good one to have. Very funny characters especially the monkey with the talking device.

I unfortunately saw this movie in old school 2-D, and as I was watching I found myself thinking wow I bet that looked really cool in 3-D. Still even seeing it that way it was still an extremely enjoyable film. The pure food eye-candy is enough to give Julie and Julia a run for its money. If you like looking at food this is your Citizen Kane. there is a scene near the end that I've no wish to ruin, but it involves a monkey and Gummi Bears, worth the price of admission alone, nuff said great movie see it with your kids or without them, either way you'll enjoy this one. My one criticism is that there simply weren't enough meatballs.
