Young Anna Fitzgerald has spent her entire life at the operating table, at the hospital, at the clinic but not because she is sick, but because she is a genetic match to her older sister who needs her bone morrow to fight the leukemia in her body. Now that she is older, she questions this life leading to a decision that may tear the family apart. This movie is sad and it many sound a bit horrible saying this but the movie was forgettable.

I was very disappointed in this film. Actually, I was downright pissed off about this movie, but that's because I loved the book and I felt like the movie completely butchered it. The characters were under developed (it was a shame not to have Alec Baldwin's character more present in the film, especially since they cast the perfect person for that role) and the story line felt rushed. I won't spoil the ending, but it's 100% opposite what happened in the book. If they really wanted to make people cry, they should have stuck with the actually story.

Great movie, with many complex themes. Cameron Diaz reveals herself as an actor, who can do more than one type of role.

This drama is different from others regarding its "attack".. the story goes well.. the director shows the story well... everyone must watch this movie. the movie shows all the characters' concern with the main issue. i love it! i love it as much as i love Julie and Julia - which, for me, give such another different "attck" on drama. i'm looking forward watching this movie again just like what i did on the movie Hardball (with keanu reeves) which until now, it touches me!

this movie was so good and so sad, I found myself crying a lot throughout this movie. I can't even imagine being in Cameron Diaz's charachters shoes. Such good acting by everyone in the movie.

This was a very touching and very sad movie. Cameron Diaz was brilliant and Abigail Breslin is truly beyond her years. This is probably one of those movies that you do not need to see more than once, because it stirs up a lot of emotion. It takes you on the journey of a family who struggles to keep alive their daughter who suffers from cancer, while their individual lives suffer. This is definitely worth seeing.

if you feel the need for a good old fashion cathartic cry this is your movie. I myself balled. I don't think I would like to see this movie again, however I would definitely recommend it. Cameron Diaz is surprisingly good in this movie, to be honest I was not expecting much of her. The woman can act , I just wish she would chose more movie like this one that are worthy of her talents.
