"Ponyo" stays true to Miyazaki's sense of childlike awe and wonder. It isn't his deepest and certainly not his darkest, but this whimsical fable about friendship is a delight.

Ponyo in my opinion not be the best Hayao Miyazaki movie that he did, but it's still a beautifully animated movie with it's fair shared of cuteness. The worlds that Hayao Miyazaki created had my mind blown but it's amazing and really creative imagination, and with this it dose have some of that, to be honest Ponyo didn't really stick out for me. It's a good film don't get me wrong, but to compare it to he's other masterpieces, yeah Ponyo isn't the greatest to me.

Well, I really can't believe I'm saying this, but I liked this anime movie. It was cute and had a good story.

While Ponyo doesn't have the emotional depth of past Miyazaki films, it does have the same whimsical animation style and childlike wonder that makes it a thoroughly enjoyable adventure. All the creature and character design of the ocean characters is especially awe-inspiring and inventive.

So, Hayao San re creates western biblical idea of flooding, fallen angels and that kind of stuff. Obviously, with the signature that deserves a product that comes from the east. Miyazaki is that, an artist. Subtle, honest, sincere. The work of art is noticiable from the beginning to the end. The music is specially delicate as the character herself. No doubt, a must see for fans of the Director and/ or anime.

A nice story about a goldfish princess who dabbles in a little magic, becomes human, and wishes to stay that way when she meets Sosuke, whom she forms an immediate bond and friendship with. Just the right mix here to appeal to all ages, young and adult. There's some pretty good animation as well, though some of the voice work sounds off at times. Other than that, a good watch.

Ponyo is a great movie by Studio Ghibli. The art is beutiful, the story is fun, and as a whole it is simply enchanting. A great movie for the whole family with just the right mix of cute, adventure, and suspense. Sosuke and Ponyo are adorable! Sosuke's mother may be the worst mother ever.
