I didn't like the using Gods name in vain. Other than that..... One of the most well crafted movies of all time. Leo really brings Howard Hughes to life. Cate Blanchette gives a great performance. Martin Scorsese shows why he is one of the masters of storytelling. When it comes to the Oscars, Leo had tough competition against Jamie Foxx for Ray. The movie itself had tough competition up aganist Sideways, Ray, and the winner Million Dollar Baby. Overall, a fantastic movie.

Not a bad movie at all. But, not a particularly good movie either, unfortunately. It's worth the money to watch it though.

Upon rewatching this film, I realized its greatness. Initially, I gave this a three out of four stars but now, I realized that this was a top-notch, four-star movie that deserved its Oscar nominations. Leonardo DiCaprio really came a long way from his "Growing Pains," "Total Eclipse," and "Titanic" days. His daring performance grabbed my attention from start to finish because he played his character with such grace and consistency. The fact that he didn't win an Oscar for Best Actor for this film (or "The Departed") still troubles me. The film is nicely paced for a two-and-a-half-hour film, well-casted, and an important gem that shouldn't be missed by anyone interested in character studies.

I actually ended up liking this a lot more than I thought I would. Leonardo DiCaprio does a great job capturing Howard Hughes, from the highs and lows. The supporting cast is also great. A period piece that perfectly captures the era.

Not a typical Martin Scorsese movie, but this one will really get ya. With incredible cinematography, an amazing performance by DiCaprio, a beautiful score, not to mention a true story, it became one of my favorites.
