Rarely is the second part of a grand film better than the first, but this is the case with Mesrine. Cecile de France was strangely unrecognizable. I thought she was good in this, so I looked her up only to find it was an actress I had already admired. Recommended, although the film (both parts, especially the first) was a little more violent than was necessary.
