While a very ambitious film project, the overall result was not thrilling. It has a very admirable (and female) cast. The director Claire Simon did research on several women in different situations who required the help of a planned parenting clinic. Its downfall is that everyone thinks the same way, and the result is the same for everyone. Everyone is modern and free-thinking and they all agree with each other. Therefore the film lacks tension and is a bore after awhile. However, you have to admire Claire Simon for trying her best. I talked with a fellow audience member for about 45 minutes after the screening was over, just about this film alone. It provides plenty of fodder, yes. But a masterpiece it is not.
