Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly are very good in this drama based off the life of troubled math wiz John Nash. It's too bad the film is more interested in his mental illness instead of his academic accomplishments.

Definitely a step up from Russell Crowe's underwhelming "Gladiator" the year before, "A Beautiful Mind" is a moving drama.

The story is about a genius mathematician takes a job as a code breaker during the cold war where he recluses himself to those around him, including his wife. The acting and the directing was brilliant and Russell Crowe was at his best in this movie.

Wears a little long during the middle, but Russell Crowe's tour-de-force haunting performance is the reason to watch this film. One of his best roles.

It is, by far and away, the best Ron Howard movie ever. It blows that Apollo and Da Vinci bullshit out of the water for sure! It does a very good job of detailing exactly what it's like to have schizophrenia. This is also Russell Crowe's best.

Russell Crowe turns in his best performance of all time as John Nash, a brilliant mathematician that battles with schizophrenia as he works his way through Princeton and teaching at MIT. Jennifer Connelly plays his love interest and eventually his wife in her best performance to date that deservedly earned her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. The rest of the supporting cast is phenominal led by one of my favorites in Ed Harris. This movie is directed by one of the best directors of our time in Ron "Opie" Howard and lands at #5 in my Top 100!! You won't be dissapointed!

RUSSEL CROWE seems to be an acting genius himself. This movie about JOHN NASH allows us to peek into the private thoughts of men or women that were endowed with above-average intelligence. What fascinates me in people like NASH was not just supra-normal faculties, but their ability to relate to ordinary humans like the rest of us. Splendid movie.
