Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) and Rowley Jefferson (Robert Capron) are best friends who encounter the hardships of middle-school. Soundtrack and direction was alright. Though the plot is done several times, the slight humor and artists were believable. Some of the lines were meaningful with quotes: ". This place is an intellectual wasteland." "One day middle school will end and become high school and after that it just becomes life. All those things you think are important now won't be anymore." from Angie. Diary of a Wimpy Kid was not bad at all when it comes to showing how kids can be.

Good but not as good as I was hoping. If they made a movie about my time in middle school, It would mostly be in the principals office or detention

I was a little disappointed because i was hoping it would have some adult humor. The child who played the main character was very good--as well as his best bud. If I was a kid I would probably be happy with it.

"diary of a Wimpy Kid" is good. the story is nice and, surely, i will like it more if i'm on the middle school although the story (i don't about its book story) is not that strong, still, it's satisfying. Zachary done it well but i have more fun watching Rowley Jefferson (Robert Capron). it is funny enough and live out enough as a comedy film. so, job well done! i'm pretty sure that the team can perform better than this one. keep up the good work! =)

"Diary of a Wimpy Kid" fell under what many family comedies fall under, and that is the protagonist lacked any redeeming quality at all, which made it exhausting to attempt to connect with him. The repulsiveness of the character's personal ethics made me want to leave the theatre, as I felt more for his friends than for him. He wasn't wimpy, simply mean-spirited. Another major problem, that many films of this genre share, is that it didn't take its ideas all the way, lacking the charm and realistic flair that films by Chris Columbus (such as "The Goonies," "Home Alone," or "Harry Potter") by not adding any sort of vulgarity and toning down reality by surrealizing it into idealistic settings. Not impressive.

Diary of a Wimpy kid was based on the book by Jeff Kinney. I have not personally read the book but some of my friends have. I thought it did a good job of portraying middle school life. The actors and actresses were really good. The only problem I had was that a lot of the movie was CG and unrealistic at that. Good-3/4
