A very funny film that would have been superbly better if it did not rely on the "cute" factor. There was far too many moments in the film where I asked myself, "Where is this going?" Then again, the ending was very fanciful and was surprisingly touching. A great idea that could have been amazing if it only had the right touch at writing and a little less infiltration to modern "Family humor."

A decent enough movie and it's entertaining enough. A villain gets a little bit reformed when he adopts 3 little girls for his latest scheme, and wouldn't you know it, he falls in love in his new role as a father. There's some good laughs and the movie is entertaining for the kids. Unfortunately, there's not much for adults here as the movie falls into the cute category. It was okay though, and Steve Carrell as Gru was a good casting choice.

For the most part, this was a good movie. It had plenty of funny, touching, and cute moments. But, it had some bad stuff in it as well.

I really enjoyed this movie and a lot of that comes from the fact that many of my favorite elements were combined: Steve Carell, comedy, cartoon, adult humor in a kids movie...

A solid movie that finally casts some originality onto the screen. Yes, it is standard formula, but still very funny, well paced and lots of laughs. Maybe not as good as many of the Pixar films but better than Up, Cars, and some are saying Toy Story 3.

This is the hidden gem of the year so far. It is incredibly funny and I think anyone would like it. I give this movie bonus points for not being a sequel or remake (although one could argue it's a stereo typical villain takes over the world story line). Steve Carell plays the part perfect and I could definitely watch this one a second time.

Despicable Me is a 2010 computer-animated film starring Steve Carell and Jason Segal. I think it's really good. The trailer makes the plot look confusing, but when you watch the movie it makes perfect sense. Steve Carell is hilarious and makes the movie even better.I love the minions and I wish the movie had subtitles so we could read what they were saying. Anyway, great acting+great script+great animation=Despicable Me
