"Predators" by Yojimbo

A collection of heavily armed strangers find themselves in a remote jungle wilderness and stalked by an unseen assailant. Predators is so similar to the 1987 original it can almost be seen as a remake. It has the same jungle location, the same situations, even many of the same plot devices; the two things it is missing however, are Arnie in his prime and a sense of humour, which is something of a problem seeing as they were the very elements that made Predator work. The amusing banter between the group of friends from the original film not only provided laughs but also made you care what happened to them; quite why we are supposed to have empathy for what is essentially just a collection of assholes with big guns I have no idea. Predators Review

A sweet as all sweetness movie. Takes away all the bad camera work of the Alien Vs. Predator movies and allows for the most raw and sliced-up action sequences possible. Acting is basically passable at best, Adrien Brody came off a quite an @$$hole, but it was pretty much intended to be that way. I really liked Louis Ozawa Changchien as the Yakuza enforcer and it was cool being able to see him get his own fight scene with a Predator as well (Yes, that's as far as I'll spoil). So yeah, if you have any familiarity with the Predator films before and liked them, I wouldn't think twice aboutrecommending this film, it's and unbound, relentless, b@lls to the w@lls load of fun film. Of course this film is every bit as bloody as anyone could have asked for be it red or neon-green. There's not too …

Action galore and not much more

Action galore and not much more. It seems like a perfect tagline for this movie as it tells you everything you need to know. Actually, there is a lot of another thing, the “f” word. Though I guess that word would be pretty appropriate if you had the Predator following you around. The film begins with Royce (Adrien Brody) free falling unconscious and waking up in panic before releasing a parachute. He lands in the middle of an unknown jungle and he is not the only one in the same situation. He is one of eight who have no idea where they are or how they got there. It is not long before they figure out that they are not the only ones in the jungle, yet they are the only humans.
If you are after a mindless action movie, then this is it. There is a complete lack of depth in the …
