Mockumentary about dog owners competing in a show. The cast apparently improvised most of the dialogue. There’s some funny lines. But also a lot of mumbling and boredom.

A satire of dog show competitions, "Best in Show" is funny because it's true.

Brilliantly creative and hilarious. The characters are believe and simple. This movie is one of those that will stand the test of time. I am not sure what other mockumentary movies or TV shows there were before this one, but it seems as though a lot more have come about since this movie. I feel like it was a revolutionary example of the genre. A must-watch for all.

A mildly amusing mockumentary from Christopher Guest that suffers for the fact that anyone who has seen Louis Theroux or similar knows that there are far weirder people than this in real life! But there are certainly laughs to be had here, largely from Fred Willard's hilariously inept (although worryingly realistic) commentator.

Guest delivers another smart and funny mockumentary. There are some really good moments sprinkled throughout.

An ingenious look into the world of obsessed dog owners that is laugh-out-loud funny from start to finish. This could be Christopher Guest's best mockumentary, aside from This Is Spinal Tap.

This is quite possibly one of my favorite comedies that I've ever seen. Watching this film, I laugh hysterically from beginning to end, making me think that Christopher Guest is a GENIUS when making mockumentaries. I enjoy the snarky satire of these dog owners and the performances across the board captured that satire without being cruel. I loved this film!

This movie is hilarious. The cast was perfectly picked and I love that it is a mockumentary and not shot as a regular film. It adds to the humor. You will recognize just about every face you see and I swear you will start yelling out "Where is the Busy Bee"? "Find that Busy Bee!" the next time you are in a room with someone frantically searching for something. This film will not disappoint.

I have to admit, I have a weakness for the Christopher Guest mockumentaries. This film is terrifically funny (especially if you've ever known anyone who participates in dog shows). Of all the Guest films, I think this one has the most well-developed characters and the most thoughtful story arc. Although mockumentaries are, by their nature, a bit outlandish, this one never feels excessively over the top--even Fred Willard as the crazy commentator ("I went to one of those obedience places once. It was all going well until they spilled hot candle wax on my private parts.") seems like a legitimate spoof of the commentator you might get for an off-Broadway dog show. Great times, this.
