Almost as great as the book. Will make you realize how precious are really many of the things we just take for granted.

i like this alot. mainly due to its originallity and julianne Moore acting made the movie great. it was good that it showed how a blind society could exit and its attack on the morals of governments and also the humans instincts and the tribal behaviour that can occur, the endind was good and i felt it fitted the type of film it was. i wish it had more money put in so it could be advertised to the public more as it could of done well at the box office.

Okay, this is a really depressing film - just dank, dirty - not pleasant. However, it doesn't mean it's a bad movie, even with the glaring plot holes. Just know going in that it's going to bring you down.

...and not why they can't. People still wonders what's the reason of the blindness, and, although with the movie being have made with a difficult script, you'd find out. I wont lie. If you haven't read the book, probably it wont make any sense, unless youve got A LOT of imagination. The flaw in the movie is actually not taking in consideration those people. Still, for me having read the book, it felt like they missed the direction, and the reason is that the story is way too big. The simbology is too much, and is too difficult to made. Lynch is not my man, but... I Think he'd would have done it better. Still, and despite all these, is a very solid film.

I took the bad reviews into consideration while watching this. I wouldn't say it's a bad movie, but it's not really a good one either. I imagine the book is pretty good and it just didn't translate well to screen. Julianne Moore puts forth quite an effort though.

Maybe they named the movie "Blindness" to describe to the director's state while making this movie. This is so far the biggest disappointment of the year. Great director (Meirelles), great actors, the book it was based on was great, it had a good opening. What went wrong? I don't know, but the movie got tiresome really quick.
