A Coen brothers' movie almost always guarantees a riveting, unpredictable crime tale, and "Blood Simple" is no exception.

Brutal. Savage. Dark. Heavy. All this and more blood simple is. This is enviroment with no morality, and in this film that is shown in way that you can smile to their usual dark humor, you can enjoy in beautiful shots and thrilling moments. This is one of the best coens films.

Feels like a lighter version of No Country for Old Men without the scary antagonist. The idea was good, execution was promising yet the screenplay, score were iffy. Blood Simple for me had a few dull scenes but had the thrilling elements and Silence of the Lambs-like conclusion.

The Coen's first movie is great and still one of their best. There are some downright chilling moments.

this film was the coen brother's first,and a great one for sure.this fim manages to puit both genres of horror and non-linear together in this film.it was truly an amazing film.i loed it.everything about this film was just plain fun and entertaining.the Coens do it again.

The beginnings of the Coen Brothers' signature wit, eerie and memorable characters, and non-linear plot devices are on full display in their first feature. The rawness and low-budget feel of the film makes it more claustrophobic and desperately suspenseful.
