I h8 this movie. It's boring and the worst part is it doesn't have a good ending. There's 5 of em. 2 girls and 3 guys. They picked on the smart guy the whole movie, and he was the only one that was nice to the girls. But at the end of the movie, he was the only one that left the school by himself while the other four were hooked up even though they hated each other at first. It's crap. If you like movies with some justice, don't see this. The good guys don't prevail.

Talk about standing the test of time...almost a quarter of century later it still ranks as one of my all time favorites...coming in at #49 and one of only two comedies in my Top 50. It is John Hughes' masterpiece that all his other works try to compare too and fail at. Conversely so have all other teen movie comedies since (although Napoleon Dynamite (2004) gave a nice effort). Make no mistake this is Nelsons' movie and I never felt he got enough credit for his work in the movie. Sure, everyone else is great in it...but they follow his lead and would seem lost without him. This is a movie that I think will still be as enjoyable 25 more years down the road as it is now.

John Hughes certainly made some great movies back in the '80s. And, this is one of his best. This movie has everything in it that you could want in a movie.

Quite obviously 80's although that is in no way derogatory its just very apparent. The film is good with good performances. There really is not a story per seh just conversations. But the conversations are good and the characters are well developed. Nothing is wrong with the film and it is surely pleasant for the the whole time seen.

This is about five high school students, all from different cliches, who are all put in detention on a saturday. But, after the principle leaves the room, and they have fun and run amuck, they find themselves pooring their hearts out to one another, and realize they have more in common than they ever thought. This is a great movie, which gives out the message to teens that there are awesome people outside your group of friends, you just need to get to know them, instead of going by what they are labelled. Teenagers will love this movie, because even though it isn't a modern teen movie, it is even better!

Classic 80s teen film. The movie has some of my favorite movie lines ever. Loved Judd Nelson and Anthony Michael Hall in this one.

Five high school students, all different stereotypes, meet in detention, where they pour their hearts out to each other, and discover how they have a lot more in common than they thought. Great cast Fave Qoute Claire Standish: Do you know how popular I am? I am so popular. Everybody loves me so much at this school. Bender: Poor baby.

A great teen comedy that sets itself apart from those before and after because of the talented actors involved, the real feeling that we get from the characters and the nostalgia it produces even for older generations. A good movie.

Any teen comedy owes a debt of gratitude to John Hughes and his brat pack. This is one of my favorites - take a group of seemingly unrelated people in a school, sit them in detention and see what happens. A lot deeper than I would think.

If Ferris Bueller owned the school, this group of misfits had nothing. I think more people can relate to this movie, and the "Rat Pack", which is what makes this film so funny and loving.
