Funny British rom-com that points out it's character's flaws with a straight, but comical finger.

This is a really funny movie that has what could be a sad plot. Bridget makes some bad choices, but in the end things turn out splendidly. The last kiss of the movie made it worth watching the whole movie, but I must say Colin and Renee seemed to have a real chemistry.

Remarkably funny with lots of quirky and cleverly written humor. The fight between Colin Firth and Hugh Grant is pure comedy gold.

Cute, fun, funny, quirky romantic comedy. I typically dislike Zellweger, but she's actually enjoyable in this one. I always think Grant is funny and Firth does a good job as the uptight, conservative Darcy. Love the guy-fight. And the kiss at the end makes it onto my Top 10 Best Kisses list.

So I have added a few chick flicks to my repertoire of films that enjoy. While I don't actively seek out these kinds of movies I have to admit that there are a few that I like. Bridget Jones Diary is one of the movies that I think is really well done. Renee Zellwegger does an amazing job as a woman that is afraid of becoming a spinster and decides to change her life, only to find that she is pursued by 2 men, Daniel Clever and Mark Darcy (Hugh Grant and Colin Firth). Both men were friends but became bitter enemies, it should be noted that they became enemies before having met Bridget. So the movie is a romantic comedy, with a lot of funny parts, and just a great story line.

As with any movie based on a book, the movie is not as good. The movie is still funny and worth watching. Renee is less annoying in this movie as she is in others. The movie is a very good romantic comedy.
