This movie is another self-satirizing Cage flick. EXCEPT, this one is actually very fun to watch. Don't take it seriously, and enjoy the action, outlandish characters, and fun atmosphere of this gory action flick.

You have to go into this film with a grindhouse mentality - if you don't take it seriously, you will have a lot of fun (R-rated fun - but fun none-the-less). It's over-the-top crazy, but what were you expecting? William Fichtner was excellent and Cage, well, Cage at least looked like he was having a good time.

John Milton (Nicolas Cage) is on a mission to save his daughters baby and avenge her death. Jonah King (Billy Burke) is a Satanic cult leader responsible for bringing hell to earth by sacrificing the baby. The Accountant (William Fichtner) follows John and Piper (Amber Heard). Action was furious and stylish but the plot/story was a bit confusing. If the Director visually showed a back-story of how John escaped and getting the "Godkiller" things would have been clearer for the viewers. Some lines were a bit ludicrous, some comedic as well. Humor was spot-on and effects were wonderful. Drive Angry is a good grindhouse flick with action packed sequences and likable characters despite its flawed story-telling.

This was an excellent movie. The gore was excellent. The action was excellent. But, the plot was just a little off I thought.

Retains it's badass mentality throughout in true grindhouse fashion. It's just so excessively over-the-top exploitive that I can sort of look past the flawed screenwriting. The 3D is used effectively and adds to the chaotic fun. Drive Angry is knowingly stupid, though maybe too much at times.

This is one of the best Grindhouse movies of the new decade! It's better to see Nic Cage make fun of himself than do it unintentionally.
