Nikolai "Nick" Cherenko's (Dolph Lundgren) family was murdered by Sasha Popov (Ivan Petrushinov). The direction and cinematography shows promise. If only the screenplay, plot and sequence of the story. Loads of action violence and Russian conversations. The Mechanic could have been better with improved character development and basic storytelling.
