one of the best romances in the history of movies. yes it is a bit overrated but still a great movie that everybody should see once. its a movie that you fall in love with. its got great acting with both Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman staring. its got the magic of old films that todays movies lack. if you are looking for a truley great romantic classic go with casablanca.

A film that oddly grew on me extensively the second time that I viewed. It is a bit overrated still, and I think that is what partially bothered me the first time. The film though after you have grown use to it, really has some magnificent moments, which are truly classic. The plot really does have some holes but that ends up not mattering because it has its unique characters, and its incredibly unique setting. The film might have fallen short the first time, but it is one that simply requires extra viewing.

This is just one of those movies that definitely lives up to its hype! It's Bogart's best, by far. It's really a near-perfect movie. Of course, any movie that has to do with the Holocaust is bound to be a great movie. There are so many memorable scenes and lines from this movie, it is difficult to pin down my favorite. And, like all great movies, the ending is fantastic!

A story of love gained, apparently lost, regained, willingly requited... The movie about Rick Blaine and Ilsa Lund, the movie about World War IIātime underground anti-Nazi movements, the movie about German arrogance, the movie about characters, music, and classic dialogs that have iconic status in world cinema. I must know all the dialogs by-heart! I must have watched this one a dozen times! Love this movie, love Bogart, love (the beautiful) Bergman, even love the French Captain Louis Renault (Claude Rains). It gets better with each viewing. A must see. Play it again, Sam!

Great romance but I find it slightly overrated and the characters didn't seem as real. I'd watch Letter From an Unknown Woman before Casablanca anyday, even though they are both great.

...you walk into mine! (my favorite quote of all the films in the world) Play it again Sam! I had always heard of this movie, and assumed it was overrated. However the acting and dialogue is superb. Bogie and Bergman are in top form. Twins wrote this script. Why not rent this when you get a chance? A must see for all generations.

An over rated romance between two great stars, Bogart and Bergman. At times it is great and at times it is slow. The second viewing was better than the first.
