One of the first Statham film's I've seen. Wonderful direction and action sequences that keeps your adrenaline flowing. The Mechanic even has a good cast and sincere acting. Definitely a must watch for those who enjoy films related to hitmen.

This is the 1st Jason Statham flick I've seen so I can't compare it to any of his other movies but I'm a BIG fan of Charles Bronson & I still like the original better.This version of The Mechanic had alot of action but I'd still choose the original

"The Mechanic" is an action-drama film which revolves around Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) being a 'mechanic'. He does assignments of killing people until he was ordered to kill his mentor/friend Harry McKenna (Donald Sutherland). This film is at its best on action, though I don't think its content was that great and very smart- just smart. I didn't appreciate much the ending, there could be much better conclusion to it. Actors weren't, I believe, on their best performances. I just wished there were clean killings (I really don't appreciate too much violence).

This is what the movie 'Hitman' should've been. The story is smart and sneaky just like a real hitman and the action is top-notch, while not being over-the-top. It's brutal and bloody.
