Spanning over the film legend's era-defining career, it captures a broad collection of Chaplin's most humorous and heart-breaking moments in life with Robert Downey Jr.'s impeccable performance leading the way.

The life and times of Charlie Chaplin: from his first stage performance before the age of ten to Vaudeville, to Mack Sennett's movies, to making his own movies, to winning an Oscar. Robert Downey Jr. was a great casting choice in the film, the movie started of great but then the movie went a bit boring.

Chaplin is a good film about Charlie Chaplin but not the greatest. The problems I had with it are common with biopics and that is their refusal to focus on something. You do not have to do this but the best biography pictures usually have something else to them that they focus on particularly. This goes from one thing to another slightly randomly and certainly nor perfectly. It can be a melodramatic at times, and can do the biography pictures skip where something that seemed important is forgotten about. That said I did enjoy the movie anyways it was interesting enough to watch, and looked good and was acted very well.

I loved this movie. But then again, I pretty much love all movies made about Hollywood, particularly old Hollywood. And, I love Charlie Chaplin as well as most Robert Downey Jr. movies. My favorite part is how he describes how he made the Tramp's costume. That was hilarious.
