As thrilling with numerous twists and turns as a 007 adventure, but also carries the wit of a top-shelf screwball from the 40s.

Slick entertainment featuring a solid mystery, a great cast, and sly humor sprinkled through the storyline. It’s no wonder people call this “the best Hitchcock movie Hitchcock never made”.

Charming romantic comedy cum Hitchcockesque thriller starring two of the best in the business. The romance works rather better than the thriller element, as the plot becomes so convoluted and melodramatic it gets rather silly and never seems to be sure whether to takes itself seriously or not. Worth it for the sheer star quality of the leads, and a nicely understated supporting role for Walter Matthau.

Mystery, suspense, murder, comedy and romance. This movie has all the bases covered. It's a smart flick that keeps you on your toes and constantly throws you for a loop. Hepburn and Grant are quite charming. I enjoyed it immensely.

There's some charming acting by Grant and Hepburn. The plot isn't as masterfully developed as a Hitchcock film, but it still provides a certain level of intrigue that is balanced by some witty comedic writing.

While I'm not going to put this in the same league as Hitchcock, I can see the influence. Hepburn and Grant work great together and while it's not spectacular, it is one of the better mysteries.

One of the best Mysteries of all Time. I had no idea it was going to be this good when I checked it out from the library. Hepburn and Grant go incredibly well together. The mystery surrounding the crime is topped by Matthau's performance.
