This is the third and final film in the Whistling series. Even though the first one, Whistling in the Dark, is easily the best, this movie is not bad. I generally do not find Skelton very funny, yet I enjoy these three films, primarily because he has a nice, easy-going style that fits well with the light mystery material. Whistling in Brooklyn works pretty well. I'm not going to give away any of the plot, but I will say that, at some point, Red finds himself in a Brooklyn Dodgers game, in a highly amusing sequence. It's also fun to see Leo Durocher in, I believe, his screen debut.
