"You'll shoot your eye out".

The story is about a young boy is insistent on getting Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas while he puts up with his family during the holidays in the 1940's.

A Christmas Story is been known as a Christmas classic to everyone. The movie started off has a small budget film suddenly turning into a big hit years later, even got a squeal which I reviewed and yeah it wasn't pretty and I had a lot to say about that film, so anywhere I can clearly see why people are calling this a classic because in my heart it is.

I said this in my past reviews about annoying narrating in movies. I just don't like how a character can narrator though out the film, just freaking speak, but in this movie it didn't annoy me, it actually worked for the film, because Ralphie (Main …

A Christmas Story review

One of the beloved and endearing Christmas films of all time. Ralph "Ralphie" Parker (Peter Billingsley) wishes for a BB Gun for christmas. A simple plot with meaningful subplots coupled with sincere performances and an eloquent screenplay even adulsts may enjoy. Best lines: Mr. Parker - "Yeah, mind power, Swede; mind power." Ralphie - "Getting ready to go to school was like getting ready for extended deep-sea diving." and "My father worked in profanity the way other artists might work in oils or clay." Themes of discipline, bullying, peer pressure, proper parenting, gratitude and family were creatively displayed. Endearing, thoughtful and funny, A Christmas Story is not only a good holiday film, but also a flawless picture because of its messages and comical moments.

I would watch it again years later when it became a regular on TNT during the holiday season. It's got to be one of the most hilarious and most beloved movies I've ever seen. Peter Billingsley did a wonderful job as Ralphie; his character occasionally display this goofy, yet lovable look. His quest to get his ultimate Christmas gift-a Red Ryder Air Rifle, is a treat. From hinting to his parents to the gift "bribe", and ultimately asking a somewhat off-the-wall Santa Claus for the gift is just fun. All he gets is a "You'll Shoot your Eye Out!" Ian Petrella did great as Ralphie's brother Randy. He is at times the typical little kid at his age, but then helps his family out …
