"Hereafter" tries to be something deep and meaningful, but it winds up shallow and lifeless.

I actually thought this was really good and well written. One of the most underrated films from 2010.

a slow and strange film. its starts great with the big tusami scene then becomes a drama of sorts. it is a intresting thought provoking movie though ,quite inteligent with the 3 storylines that come together for the ending. and with each one being from different countries but overall it was a bit too mundane to keep most glued to the screen

"Hereafter" story revolves on three characters namely, George, Marie, and Marcus. Each from different places with related experiences- death. George (Matt Damon) is a psychic who can connect to dead people through their loved ones. Marie (Cecile de France) is an anchorwoman who experienced death on a vacation. Marcus (McLaren) who is in grieved after someone close to him died. Story-wise, for me, it's kinda lame. You can see the connections of the three stories but actually failed to provide strong relation of them. Matt Damon keeps this alive. Direction was good, a smooth one by Clint. =)

Clint Eastwood creates another good film, although I'm one of those who really enjoy his films, so yeah, I'm probably biased. Definitely one for grown-ups, here we get a film that examines death from three different perspectives - a reluctant psychic, a reporter who experiences death, and a child dealing with the death of a loved one. All stories eventually intersect in the conclusion where the characters are seeking resolution. A very strong cast and I have to admit, there were times i was moved. Good work, Clint.
