Just like Top Gun, this is quintessential Tom Cruise film. Even if you don't like the guy, you have to admit, he's just perfect for this role. When roles work, they work - and this is one time when the actor perfectly fits the role. The rest of the cast works as well - especially a young Elisabeth Shue.

Despite a likable cast and some solid laughs, I found myself drifting halfway through the film. The dramatic moments of the film feel a little forced and the film sort of glosses over anything of real depth with 'Movie of the Week" aplomb.

Cute show for it's time. A little romance, a little betrayal, and some laughs. Cruise is likable.
