Woefully uninspired, "The Raven" might have been able to get by on its genre tropes if not for a chaotic and weak finale.

The Raven was very creative and kept you watching. It was more chilling than gruesome or gory. I recommend this movie for anyone who loves Edgar Allen Poe.

Reminded me of the Sherlock Holmes reboot only with more blood and less plot and characters. It's simply middle-of-the-road thrills here - nothing stands out but nothing is utterly terrible. If you're bored and nothing else looks good, you may as well check it out - just don't expect to be riveted by the performances or story.

what if the end reveals the murderer as a presence of ruin in all writers life, and after fleeing america, he takes another form, to go and destroy what a writer composes. and so on... the real ending is dissapointing, on the same line with all the movie.sad!
