When Matthew McConaughey started to become a fantastic actor. The story is about a lawyer who works out of the back of his Lincoln Continental has made a living defending small-time cases, but he lands a the case of a lifetime when a Beverly Hills playboy murder comes his way but he soon realizes that the case makes him a target as well. This movie was well acted and well put together.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I was curious how McConaughey would handle a courtroom drama. I've never seen "A Time to Kill". Someone said he should play lawyers, which I can't help but agree. One of the better courtroom dramas. The courtroom scenes, while nicely written, weren't very passionate. The ending twist was great as well.

As a courtroom drama, I suppose it was better than the majority I've seen - but in the end, it was still a courtroom drama and even though Matthew McConaughey worked well, it moved a bit slow for my tastes. Not to say there weren't a few good twists, but nothing that elevated it above standard fare.

The Lincoln Lawyer had its ups & downs.Sometimes it was pretty good & sometimes it was plain boring. The movie was lacking something but I don't know what it was. When I 1st saw the previews I just knew I had to see it.After watching it, I was so disappointed. It wasn't as good as what I thought it was gonna be.I had high hopes for The Lincoln Lawyer which I hoped would be a good movie but turned out to be average

Good story, with some smart twists and turns. The courtroom scenes have some real tension and everyone in the cast is great.

"The Lincoln Lawyer" is a movie drama about a defense attorney, Mick Haller (Matthew McConaughey) as he deals with his client, only to find out that this client of his now was involved in his previous case. *** I would say that this movie had a smooth sail on the sea. Its story and the execution brought each other up. Also, the actors are really good. At first, I thought it would be a boring watch, but as twists continually run, I was becoming more and more into it. It captured me. Well done.

A movie that just kind of meanders along. The big twist happens early and you spend the rest of the movie seeing how Matthew McConaughey's character gets out the situation. The cast is pretty good - McConaughey, Tomei, Phillipe, Macy, and Leguizamo all turn in solid performances. If anything, there were times the movie just moved along a little too slow for my taste, and the fact that the prosecuting attorney was most likely the worst lawyer to ever appear in a film. A decent watch.
