"Jumping the Broom" tells a story about a couple from different backgrounds who fall in love, decide to get married after only six months of dating. That's when the families start getting involved. They still haven't met each other until the coming together of the wedding dinner of their children and because of their different backgrounds, misunderstandings arise. The culture clash is pretty hilarious. For those of you who thought this was another wedding chick flick, you could not be more wrong. I thought this movie was really funny even though both Moms were first class bitches. All in all a good movie and I had fun watching it….

The acting was terrible. Aside from Angela Bassett, Julie Bowen, and Mike Epps who were entertaining from beginning to end, the rest of them were trash. Also, the ending was ridiculously fake. The groom's mother basically destroys a family, yet maybe no more than an hour or two later everyone is hugging and forgiving. In an ideal world I suppose that's how it should be. But realistically, that was just ridiculous.

It seems like this movie was made to piss people off. Both of the mothers are EVIL! I could not go five minutes without getting pissed off. The groom's mother was evil the whole time. There wasn't one part of the movie that I liked her. She was rude to the bride even though the bride was so nice and tried so hard to please her. And at the end, you are just expected to forgive all her crap because she leaves a letter behind that says she is sorry. It would have been better if they just let her leave!
