The near perfect adaptation that the book deserved. Jennifer Lawrence shows that she truly is a rising star in Hollywood as she gives a flawless performance as heroine, Katniss Everdeen. Elizabeth Banks is surprising great as Effie, and Stanley Tucci solidifies himself as one of the best character actors around and one of the most underrated actors. The Hunger Games was intense and stylish. I loved it!

BIG disapointment! The part before the games, where the whole thing is about, is like in the book. the game itself..... TOO SHORT!!!!! The way it was showed it's like half an hour in a pretty zoo. And believe me: it wasn't! Hope there will be a remake soon.

Well, it wasn't a bad movie, actually it was very well made. Still, even though it's based on an american book, it is nothing more than a sci-fi, light version of the japanese Battle Royal. If you have seen the japanese movie then the only thing you can gain from this one is the Styling of the production. If you haven't seen Battle Royal, it is a very nice story, with no much blood, that you will enjoy.

I'm not the target audience and I didn't think it was terrible, which is about the best I could hope for. I can only assume to source material is pretty weak, but that doesn't quite account for acting that can only really be described as passable.

This is a movie of the future when America falls and is replaced with Panem. There was once a revolt led by district 13 but the revolt failed and district 13 fell. Due to this revolt called the dark days by President Snow, the government decided to pick a boy and a girl between the ages 12 and 18 to fight to the death in the arena as a reminder of the governments dominance. It was called the Hunger Games. This movie is Katniss Everdeen's story of going into the arena and I will say no more because I don't want to say any spoilers. It is an amazing book and movie I highly recommend that you watch/read it.

The Hunger Games- The best movie you can watch with you family. This movie is about a young girl name Katniss Everdeen who volunteers to be a tribute in the games. why did she do this? Well because the reapin is about choosing to candidates and the first chosen was Primrose Everdeen.Katniss and her fellow tribute Peeta Mellark get put into a dark, dangerous world where they will have to use every advantage in order to survive.

A great adaptation of the novel by Suzanne Collins, particularly due to strong performance by Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, one of many tributes selected to participate in the Hunger Games, where it's kill or be killed. The supporting cast is solid as well, although if we're honestly to believe these are all kids in the games, casting actors that clearly look like they're in the 20s isn't the way to go, It's only a minor quibble, and if you hadn't read the book it probably won't affect you much. An early blockbuster in the year turns out to be a pretty good film.

Most highly anticipated movies with a lot of hype don't normally live up to the expectations. The Hunger Games however, succeeded, making it one of the better movies in a long time. Is this a tween movie, action movie, drama, or sci-fi? It is a little of everything, which makes it good. Not too much tween romance, not overly gory, but does have enough drama to sympathize with Katniss Everdeen, and enough action to make you want more. I suggest you go see it, before you hear too much about it from others to spoil the suspense.
