Decent wartime drama as Denzel Washington invetigates the death of helicopter pilot Meg Ryan. An interesting story told in retrospect from differing perspectives despite the unpromising cast.

I didn't really buy Meg Ryan as a tough Captain but the rest of the cast was great. A good, disturbing drama.

This is not an earth-shattering war film, but the way it portrays events, including inventive use of flashbacks, weaves a great story. It plays the familiar "truth is subjective" card, but the performances make it seem new again.
