Awesome western. Im not a big fan of the duke but this is one of my two favorites by him (the other one being Rio Bravo). True entertainment value and one to pop a beer too with your brother or buddy.

Fantastic! This is one of the best western I've seen and definitely one of my favorite John Wayne movies. Its a story about growing up and responsibility. The story is well written and touching. Touching is not something you get to say about a western very often. The movie also has some very funny moments and some good western type action.

There's a lot more to it than the average John Wayne film. While him and his band of boys are just going on a cattle run, you see that it's really about the journey these boys take to become men. Showing all the boys grow and be mentoured by John makes this a richer experience.
