Despite the lingering stodginess of this box-office hit, it's worth watching because of the glaring message that we are all connected. It's a call to self examination, how we look at the great cultural divide, the human condition, and how we are dealing with it. Nice reminder.

The film is just people running into each other and it causes racial tension. Over and over again. Almost all of them are a bit forced and almost all are just too over the head. This film lacks subtlety which it should of had somewhere but it does not. That is its only problem but it is a severe problem because it causes you just to say enough already. I don't mean the content is the problem just the way that it is presented. Oscar Nominee Matt Dillon 3/5- Dillon is good as the racist cop. He really does not do anything that is extremely unique or anything that he did not seem capable of but he is good as the bad cop, and tries his best to make the scenes effective.

This is a moving, heartbreaking, infuriating and just plain good movie. It takes a look at people, society and all our prejudices. Quite moving.

I liked it more than I should have. Preachy as you'd expect, though.

Great acting and the reality of the story make this an amazingly emotional film. Paul Haggis dissects the touchy subject of racism beautifully. Particularly great performances by Michael Pena, Ryan Phillipe, and Terrence Howard.

This is one of my favorite films. I have never seen acting that was so emotionally gripping and just blew me away. Michael Pena stood out more then anyone in this film and I'm still shocked that he didn't get an Oscar nomination. I balled like a baby during the scene with him and his little girl. It amazes me anyone could say that Brokeback Mountain was robbed for Best Picture over this film.

An amazing film that takes people from all walks of life, nationalities and races and interconnects them in random situations with great emotional impact. This is one that stands up to repeated viewings with ease and is highly recommended.

Awesome movie that weaves the lives of total strangers together to show how everyone can be connected.

If anyone you know is racist, they must watch this movie. I still don't think they will get it, but there is hope for the world.
