My wife and I loved this movie. If your not critical of new concepts and ideas and your not too attached to the originals this is a great movie. The concept of how everything came to be was awesome, the names where changed for this movie, but that works. I loved how they began the movie in the old style picking up where it was left off on the 70's version. Plenty of gore and action. Seriously need to give this movie a try, just keep a open mind, and forget the other movies during the play of this one.

After reading & hearing so many bad reviews for TCM3D I went in thinking I was absolutely going to hate it but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.I loved the way it started off but when it switched from past to present that's when I really expected that I would start hating it but I didn't.I enjoyed the movie up until the part where I guess I was suppose to feel sorry for Leatherface. It didn't make me hate the movie but it did make me feel WEIRD.Who's really going to feel sorry for Leatherface!? I didn't find TCM3D to be all that bad, Maybe just strange especially with the final plot twist & the way it ended.I do wish I would've gone to see it in 3D at the theater

The only part I liked about this film was the opening - because essentially it showed all the good highlight of the original film (and later, the direct aftermath of what happened) but then it just degenerated into a generic horror film. And I agree - trying to sympathize with Leatherface is just... not a good plot twist. At least Tania Raymonde is extra sexy - but that can only get you so far. Stick to the original people - and stop with the remakes already.

As a direct sequel to the original 'Chainsaw', this is a colossal disappointment. In the attempt to be a 'true' continuation, it becomes a straight up remake for the first two-thirds. It even goes as far to use the exact same scares and a couple of kills. The last third is just ridiculous fodder that makes Leatherface out to be the victim. Every aspect of filmmaking is a ten on the failure scale. An aggravating and insanely stupid waste of time. A prime candidate for worst film of 2013.

Devoid of scares or tension but filled with stupid characters and gore, Texas Chainsaw is yet another pointless entry in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. It also tries to pull off a third act twist which comes off as more idiotic than clever. Stick to watching the original, which to this day still remains deeply creepy and unsettling.
