This was a good movie that had my attention right from the start till the very end even though some of it was just way too real for me & painful to watch (Especially the final scenes) I almost wanted to turn the movie off but It's kinda like I wanted to get it over with because I knew after I watched it all, I never want to watch it again. It's a movie I'd tell anybody that was thinking about watching it to go see. It's a good movie but after you watch it once, You might not want to ever watch it again, It's just way too real & painful at times

I really really liked the opening scene. But I guess the film is not as intense as it tried to be, there are some unrealistic scenes and I wish they could have utilized that camera Gyllenhaal was holding throughout the film. I always love Michael Peña as family-man cop.

Rookie cops Taylor and Zavala patrol some of the roughest streets in L.A. - using a variety of hand-held footage - from gang member's and police dash cams - the audience is given an intimate connection to the gritty drama. Okay this is going to be a short review for this movie so let's go.the acting is good and I like that it is a found footage movie.

For once the so-called "found footage" aspect enhances a film rather than being incorporated as some kind of gimmick. It helps that Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña work so well in their roles as a pair of cocky street cops who finds themselves in the crosshairs of a cartel. Even the relationship aspect works well. Those who like gritty cop dramas should check this one out.

Not a bad movie. The found footage concept is week but at least it is a different genre. Kind of a pointless movie but seemed to pace well. An interesting rental for someone looking for a different type of crime/action movie. just OK.

The characters and situations are engrossing. The performances and grit add to the overall strive for realism. The handheld format, in company with the excellent editing, keeps the movie fast paced. It's tense, dramatic, and much better than expected.

Jake Gyllenhaal and michael pena play some pretty good bad style cops in this new american police action film. Anna kendrick also stars who seems to be in a fair few films now most noticeably Twilight and the new film out soon called pitch perfect. The film was pretty good to watch and the plot line wasnt too bad also. Would recommend watching if you liked Harsh times, Training day as it is like them and is a good watch.
