An interesting concept that kind of loses its cool about halfway through as it meanders through various time periods and attempts to throw in a twist that most people will probably see coming. Still, there are some nice visual scenes early on, even if it turns more psychological towards the end.

I like the way the story unfolds in three different time periods all at the same location. There isn't so much explained, as it's left for us to piece together. But, for a movie being sold as a 'horror' film, it becomes much less associated with the genre as it progresses, which was kind of dissapointing.

A film with three tales which revolves around Luis (TJ Trinidad), Ella (Barbie Forteza), Lara (Rhian Ramos) and Carmela (Carmina Villaroel). The artist who played Ella was convincing and you can really feel the strictness of Carmela. It was scary in the first few acts but somewhat dwindles in the middle with a twist in the near conclusion. Flashbacks were sometimes overused. Score, setting and aura were creepy but falters in the storyline. Cinematography was brilliant while most of the performances solid. Still, The Road is a descent film with a skilled director that is a screenwriter away from being topnotch.
